• Tending the Garden

    Tending My Garden
    Wrapping arms around their smiles,
    I cradle each of them,
    arrange their blankets of Earth,
    trim wild wanderings,
    doctor wilting sighs.

    I am their mother.

I love to garden though skiing is preferable when snow actually falls. I remember those days!

Winks, very nice. Perhaps you're gardening when skiing also, and skills are your flowers.

Very lovely thought CR and highly poetic! That's a great way to think of them. Sometimes you need to prepare soil, separate potbound roots, fertilize,
water thoroughly and then let go.

On further thought, CR, I'll bet you understand just how good of a metaphor for me that is. I don't throw seeds in the ground and hope for the best; I try to go out of my way to provide what the plants will need to flourish. So drills are like preparing the soil........
