Re: Introduce yourself to the locals

Many years ago I asked extreme skier John Egan "What's the most important thing about skiing?" He answered...

    "Smiling!"

Hence my name here. East coast guy. Ski in the Rockies every year too.

edit: Originally I used Smiler - I'm now SMJ. References below to Smiler are to me.

Re: Introduce yourself to the locals

Hi Smiler, welcome to Skier Village. I love your screen name and avatar! It's perfect for this sport. Frequently, when standing on top of a of a ski slope and surveying the magnificent mountains I find myself surrounded by, a big smile creeps onto my face as I marvel at how fortunate I am to be in such a beautiful place just playing in the snow.

Re: Introduce yourself to the locals

Thanks everyone. Yes Top Dog, I often am filled with gratitude that I am fortunate enough to ski and to share my love of skiing with others (I teach part time on the weekends.)

Will have to work on the cheshire cat avatar a bit, but wanted to get something up there.
