Lower Lafayette's Leap, I think this is a blue also which would make it the final blue at Roundtop.

This is Lafayette's Leap. It is a steep black with moguls on skier's left and usually a good bit of ice on skier's right.

Barrett's Trail, one of our blacks which is a straight shot from the summit to Fanny Hill.

Back on the other side of the mountain now, we are looking at Exhibition's headwall and you can see the Nastar start shack just below the headwall. Exhibition is another single black.

    Looking down lower Exhibition.

This is Patriot, also a single black. This is our newest slope which just opened this year. This is a fun one to practice short radius turns. Patriot shoots off of Exhibition about halfway down Exhibition.

View of Patriot from the bottom where it merges with Lower Ramrod near the lift entrance.

And here's Upper Ramrod. One of our two double blacks. It's a lot steeper than the pictures make it look! It is also very bumpy very often. It was actually pretty bumpy today but it's hard to see the bumps in the pictures.

This is the view from the very top of Ramrod when you first try to look over the edge!

I believe this is a shot of Lower Ramrod which is a single black.

And here is another nice shot of Exhibition where you can see the Nastar start shack. You can also see where Patriot starts if you look closely skier's right. You can see the yellow pole pad. And those smoke stacks in the top right of the picture, that's 3 Mile Island!

And then there's Gunbarrel. It is a single black on the bottom and a double black on top. And when it has no snow on it like right now, the top is even more difficult to ski! (the top is actually closed)

I have been told by a very unofficial source that Gunbarrel's headwall is the steepest man made slope on the East Coast. Whether or not that is true, I have absolutely no idea but I will tell you what I do know for sure; when I look over the edge from the summit, it sure feels that way to me!

And we have an attachment of Upper Ramrod that snuck in. I guess it's only fitting - attachments sneaking in at the beginning with the greens and then at the end with the double blacks!

So there you have it folks. And if those of you who are used to huge multi peaked mountains with 57 chairlifts and gondolas wish to have a hearty laugh, you won't offend me. Some excellent skiers have come from humble beginnings and Roundtop certainly has her share of them! So Rock on! Hope you enjoyed the tour!

Thanks for the pics, BP. That took a lot of work to do. I feel like I know your hill a bit, just from looking at all those pictures. It's interesting how familiar Roundtop's trails look to me, even though I've never been there. The way trails are laid out on mountains in the eastern US must be rather consistent.

My photos of ski trails/slopes never reveal the true pitch, but your image of the top of Gunbarrel sure does make it look steep.
