That bird was a rescue bird... he needed to be released but on release went home again...

We had a bunch of his buddies in the nursery so they released him in the nursery hoping he would feel at home with some friends... For a couple of days he came and sat on Ricks shoulder still... but was hanging with the birds...

So we hope he found a nice girl bird and made a home in the nursery somewhere...

Hi Garry, thanks for the kudos. It has been a bear of an undertaking. The guy we purchased the nursery from had been winding it down for a couple years, keeping it going with duct tape, so we had to do a lot of infrastructure work in the way of putting down new mats and irrigation, electrical, shad garden and tables building, and develop our inventory as quickly as possible. The pond is our irrigation source, along with a well. The pond is over an acre in size, and about 10 feet deep during the summer when the rains come. I put blue tilapia in last fall, to help clean the duck weed, which is what you see on top.

LF, it's a ground dove. The local wildlife rescue group released it in our nursery because we have several of them here. This was the first day, and it was still bonded to people as a result of it's time in rehab. I'd be working and it would just fly over and land on my shoulder. In a couple days it made friends with it's own kind.
