Nice idea, CR! For those of us w/o a Vail pass it wouldn't be much more $ than skiing Breck for a few days.

Bazzer, do you know if they offer discounted prices for groups?

Funny you should ask CR. Received an email from SPC earlier this week, announcing that they will extend their season until the end of April and that the following rates well be in effect: "For new bookings from March 19 - April 30, we are offing $350 seats and $3500 private cats. But, if you are a returning guest who has visited us this year or was bumped due to the lack of early season snow, we will give you an additional break - $300 seats and $3000 private cats."

I assume that the rates will return to normal, or perhaps increase a bit next season.

Sorry for the delay Little Tiger. I've been kind of busy and have not been playing with the internet much for the past week or so.

I believe that each cat can accommodate ten guests in addition to the mandatory three guides..

Hey, as freaq says, that's only 3 days skiing at Vail or Breck if you don't have a season pass of some kind.

The only thing, it's a hit or miss situation. You either get great conditions or you might as well ski the Resort. I've been on both.

One time epic, the next was not worth it.

Here's the other idea, Chicago Ridge at ski Cooper has some great Cat Skiing also. Closeby to our destinations and no more expensive.

I think my Wife and i might be up for either. That's a $600 hit for me though. That money would just about pay for my next season's summit pass.

    Great idea, tuff choice.

I'd love to do either of them. I'd hate to pay that much and end up with limited pow. Case in point:

Days like that I'd just as soon ski the resort on my pass. Imagine the same could happen at Steamboat.
